Ski Boots - Tecnica HOTFORM

The Tecnica HotForm system helps provide the skier with more comfort. It works by moulding the boot liner around the skier's foot as well as to the internal contours of the boot shell. The result is the skier gets a precise fit which allows increased control and energy transfer to the boot and ski and combined with maximum comfort.

The System

Two materials have been inserted into the padding of the boot liner: Rolex Plus (polyethylene) and Fabroc. The Fabroc is heated using a small transformer, which in turn heats the Rolex Plus, which becomes soft and pliable. While heated, the Rolex Plus molds around the anatomy of the foot and to the inner contours of the shell.
