Right now, we are offering 1 role to join our small experienced team.

Part-time Retail Assistant
For the Part-time Retail assistant role, we are looking for someone to work some weekday shifts (including afternoons) and some Saturdays or Sundays each month on a rota basis. We expect this to include a combination of standard set hours plus some flexible hours to cover holiday leave and at our busier times.  We expect this role to offer between 4-12 hours per week, although this may vary. 

This role will primarily focus on ski clothing and accessories, so ski hardware (skis / boots / boards) expertise is not necessary.

The ideal candidate::

About you

  • We would like you to have worked in retail or another customer facing role.
  • You are friendly, polite and helpful and able to communicate professionally in person, on the phone and through email
  • You are active person and enjoy sports (knowledge of snowsports would be an advantage)
  • You have experience of using computers and are able to with ease
  • You are someone with good communication skills
  • You are comfortable working in a team and taking direction but also able to work independently
  • You like being busy and are able to multi task
  • You are composed and calm when under pressure. Weekends can get very busy.
  • You are reliable and accustom to working regular hours

What you’ll be doing most of the time

  • Assisting customers in the shop, on the phone and through email
  • Checking and tidying the clothing room - keeping stock clean and presentable at all times
  • Using our on-line systems for checking stock availability and finding the items for customers
  • Operating the till and cardnet machine
  • Booking customers into our on-line bookings system for boot fitting appointments
  • Booking customers in for ski service
  • Supporting and helping colleagues
  • Assisting with all the normal routine tasks that work in a shop involves

What you’ll be doing sometimes

  • Using our on-line systems to check for mail order
  • Processing, picking and packing mail order
  • Pricing & labelling stock deliveries.

Full training will be given. 

This is a seasonal vacancy to start during October and run into the Spring of 2026 (end date TBC).  For the right candidate, this role may be re-offered in the Autumn of 2026.
